LOST MOISTURE DENSITY GAUGE (UPDATE)
Thi.s is to update the status of a lost moisture density gauge reported to the NRC on August 23, 1999, by the licensee. On August 6, 1999, the licensee shipped a Troxler Model 3411B, containing 10 millicuries of cenium 137 and 40 millicuries of americium 241, through Federal Express to Troxler Electronics Laboratories, Research Triangle Park, North l Carolina. On August 13, 1999, the licensee determined that Troxler had {
not received the gauge and called Federal Express to Degin a trace on the ]
miasing gauge.
On August 30, 1999, Federal Express located the missing gauge. The gauge ,
had been shipped to another addressee. On August 31, 1999, the gauge was {
'sh:.pped to and received by Troxler Electronics Laboratories.
