Title:

Executive Order 14300 Rulemaking Overview March 12, 2026, 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM ET Date(s) and Time(s):

This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

Purpose:

Section 5 of EO 14300 directed the NRC to undertake a review and wholesale revision of its regulations and guidance documents, and issue notices of proposed rulemaking effecting this revision within 9 months [February 23, 2026] and issue final rules and guidance to conclude this revision process within 18 months [November 23, 2026]. This meeting seeks to provide an overview of how the NRC is implementing EO 14300, Section

5. Presentations will include a discussion of the agencys approach, a high-level overview of rulemakings the NRC is conducting, and an overview of NRCs compliance with EO 12866 Regulatory Planning and Review process.
