PUBLIC MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
Title:
Workshop on Vendor Oversight 2024 Conference June 13, 2024, 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM ET Date(s) and Time(s):
Location:
Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor 300 Light Street Baltimore, MD Category:
This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
The purpose of the workshop is to bring together Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff, licensees, applicants, suppliers of basic components, industry organizations, and other stakeholders to discuss vendor oversight issues. The workshops provide an open forum for exchanging information regarding oversight of the supply of components, and materials to both new and operating nuclear power plants. Since the NRC performs a limited number of vendor inspections each year, the vendor workshop also allows the NRC to provide regulatory perspective to the industry on specific topics related to issues identified by the staff during routine vendor inspections.
