Public Meeting - Pre-Implementation Workshop on Revised Physical Security Event Notification and Suspicious Activity Reporting Requirements - SESSION 2 - Non-Power Production and Utilization Facilities [NPUFs]

Date(s) and Time(s): May 10, 2023, 01:30 PM to 04:30 PM ET Location: Teleconference Category: This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

Purpose:

Conduct a pre-implementation workshop with impacted licensees on the new physical security event notification and suspicious activity reporting regulations. This session focuses on Non-Power Production and Utilization Facilities (e.g., research reactors and medical isotope production facilities).

The compliance period for this rule ends on January 8, 2024. This workshop is intended to support impacted licensees implementation of the final rule within the compliance period.
