This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
The NRC is sponsoring public workshops on the Instrumentation and Controls (I&C)
Licensing Framework for Advanced Reactors. The workshops are part of the agencys efforts to streamline safety reviews of future license applications. This workshop will be a continuation of topics covered in the workshop held on February 23, 2023, and specifically discuss industry perspectives and potential challenges with implementation of the Licensing Modernization Project (LMP) and the I&C Design Review Guide (DRG) and areas of interest to NRC staff to improve planning and effectiveness of future I&C reviews.
