Docket No. 50-387 50-388 Pursuant to 10 CFR 21.21(a)(2), Susquehanna Nuclear, LLC hereby submits this interim report. The deviation to be evaluated is a failure of an Eaton/Cutler Hammer A200 series starter manufactured in 2014. The starter failed with its contacts stuck in the energized state when it was de-energized. The sticking was caused by the pole faces of the coil laminations and those of the armature laminations adhering to one another at normal operating temperatures. The vendor is in the process of performing an investigation of the failure.
Evaluation of the failure is expected to be completed by July 14, 2017.
This letter contains no new regulatory commitments.
