On March 12, 2012, the NRC staff issued a letter entitled "Request for Information Pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 50.54(f) Regarding Recommendations 2.1, 2.3, and 9.3, of the Near-Term Task Force Review of Insights from the Fukushima Dai-Ichi Accident," (Reference 1). Enclosure 2 of Reference 1 contains specific Requested Actions, Requested Information, and Required Responses associated with Recommendation 2.3 for Seismic Evaluations. In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54, "Conditions of Licenses," paragraph (f), addressees were requested to submit a written response to the information request within 90 days (Reference 2).
In Reference 2, PPL Susquehanna, LLC (PPL) committed to use the NRC-endorsed seismic walkdown procedure EPRI 1025286, "Seismic Walkdown Guidance: For Resolution of Fukushima Near-Term Task Force Recommendation 2.3: Seismic," as the basis for the seismic walkdowns at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station (SSES). PPL also committed to submit a report documenting the results of its seismic walkdowns at SSES within 180 days after NRC endorsement of the generic EPRI guidance, which occurred on May 31, 2012.

Document Control Desk PLA-6941 This letter provides SSES's Seismic Walkdown Reports as required by the response time depicted in Enclosure 3 of Reference 1. The format of the enclosed reports follow the format described in EPRI 1025286, "Seismic Walkdown Guidance: For Resolution of Fukushima Near-Term Task Force Recommendation 2.3: Seismic."
PPL requests that Enclosures 1 and 2 to this letter be withheld under 10 CFR 2.390. The information contained in these enclosuresrepresents security-related information as defined in 10 CFR 2.390. to this letter contains a list of regulatory commitments associated with this response.
