Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, PPL Susquehanna LLC (PPL) requested in Reference 1 approval of amendments to the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station (SSES) Unit 1 and Unit 2 Operating Licenses (OLs) and Technical Specifications (TS) to increase the maximum power level authorized from 3489 megawatts thermal (MWt) to 3952 MWt, an approximate 13% increase in thermal power. The proposed Constant Pressure Power Uprate (CPPU) represents an increase of approximately 20% above the Original Licensed Thermal Power (OLTP).
The purpose of this letter is to provide GE Draft Dryer Presentation material to the NRC to facilitate NRC determination of proprietary content.

- Present the steam dryer instrumentation plan with locations and rational for type of instruments and their locations,
- Discuss finite element analysis model changes,
" Discussion of the fabrication detail improvements and why they are expected to improve stress intensity margins, Discuss strategy for developing start-up limit curves and availability schedule Since the first two items above will involve proprietary information, Attachment I contains the proprietary GE Draft Dryer Presentation material. A non-proprietary version of Attachment I is provided in Attachment 2. The affidavit supporting this request is provided in Attachment 3. contains information that General Electric Company considers proprietary.
General Electric Company requests that the proprietary information be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 (a) 4 and 9.17 (a) 4.
