A summary of the revisions made in Revision 13 of the FPRR is provided in of this letter.
Revision 13 is being submitted on CD-ROM in accordance with NRC Regulatory Issue Summary 2001-05 titled "Guidance on Submitting Document to the NRC by Electronic Information Exchange or on CD-ROM." The CD-ROM for the FPRR contains a complete copy of the FPRR. to this letter provides the steps to be taken to read the CD-ROM.

to PLA-5679 Using SSES FPRR Revision 13 CD ROM to PLA-5679 Page 1 of 7 Using SSES FPRR Revision 13 CD ROM If a version of MaxCD'm older than version 3.2.7 is installed on your PC, it will not allow you to view this CD. Viewing this CD requires installation of MaxCDrm for FileNet, Version 3.2.7. Instructions for installing MaxCD' for FileNet are provided below.
CD Contents This CD contains a set of images containing all the pages of the current revision of the Fire Protection Review Report (FPRR). The images labeled with unique document ID's are assigned alphanumerically as Text and Tables. Drawings were scanned into the document as part of the section to which they belong. The order of the images does not correspond to the ordering of the pages in the FPRR.
The CD also contains a Microsoft Word copy of the Table of Contents to facilitate word searching using that application's "Find" function.
Reading the FPRR In order to "read" the FPRR; a search engine must be used.
This CD contains a royalty-free search engine coupled with a "viewer."
This "viewer" needs to be installed on a PC to facilitate "reading" of this electronic copy of the FPRR.
The images are saved in G4 TIFF format, and can be read by any program capable of displaying that format. There is no identification information stored in the image files (or in the file name) other than that contained in the displayed image itself. The image indexing information is stored in a Microsoft Accessm database contained on the CD.
If the user of this CD prefers, the data may be read from that database without using the included viewer.
Reader Installation As few other applications as possible should be running when CDSetup is executed.
There is one executable file on this CD, named CDSetup.exe. Executing this file will install the MaxCDTm reader on your PC.
After the setup program for MaxCDTm is completed, the user will be asked to reboot the PC to complete program installation in the Windows registry. Once this reboot has been accomplished, MaxCD' can be run to view the contents of the CD.

Reader selection in Windows.
When started, the database for the index information will be read and a basic skeleton "data tree" outline of the data on the CD will be presented on the left hand side of the program window (See Screen Image Below).

If the document selected is a multi-page image, thumbnails of the images in the file will be placed on the far right side of the view window for easier page selection.
