-REVISION OF SCHEDULE-Docket Nos. 50-387 PLA-5526 and 50-388 In a letter dated January 21, 2002, PPL Susquehanna, LLC informed the NRC of its intent to pursue license renewal for the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station (SSES) Units 1 and 2, and submit a license renewal application, in accordance with 10 CFR Part 54, for SSES Units 1 and 2, by the end of the first quarter of 2005.
The current SSES Operating Licenses will expire at midnight on July 17, 2022 and March 23, 2024 for Units 1 and 2, respectively. PPL Susquehanna, LLC has reconsidered its submittal schedule. The current target is the third quarter of 2006.
This notification of plans for license renewal is being made in response to RIS 2000-20, "Importance of Industry Providing NRC Advance Notice of Intent to Pursue License Renewal,"
dated November 14, 2000. PPL Susquehanna, LLC will continue to keep the NRC informed of any changes in plans for the SSES license renewal to facilitate NRC plans for processing of renewal applications.
