CLOSURE OF INVESTIGATION (OI 4-2019-003)
Dear Mr. Franssen:
This refers to an investigation conducted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs)
Office of Investigations regarding activities at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station. The Office of Investigations initiated the investigation to determine whether site security personnel at the facility willfully failed to comply with NRC regulations after identifying an inoperable security door.
Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, the concern was not substantiated.
The NRC plans no further action related to the alleged wrongdoing and considers this investigation closed. Any non-willful violations associated with this concern will be dispositioned during a future NRC inspection.
You should note that final NRC documents may be made available to the public under the Freedom of Information Act subject to redaction of information pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act.
