CLOSURE OF INVESTIGATION (014-2011-0061)

Dear Mr. Reddemann:

This refers to an investigation conducted by the NRC's Office of Investigations regarding activities at the Columbia Generating Station. The Office of Investigations initiated the investigation to determine whether a contract supervisor at Energy Northwest's Columbia Generating Station fraudulently signed clearance orders as completed and willfully directed workers to complete work in radiation areas that had already been documented as complete.

Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, testimony, and document reviews, the allegation was not determined to be willful. The NRC plans no further action related to the willful aspect of this allegation and considers this investigation closed.
