STATUS OF RECOMMENDATIONS: AUDIT OF THE NRCS DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION (OIG-20-A-13)
REFERENCE:
DIRECTOR, OFFFICE OF ADMINISTRATION, MEMORANDUM DATED APRIL 11, 2022 Attached is the Office of the Inspector Generals (OIG) analysis and status of recommendations as discussed in the agencys response dated April 11, 2022. Based on this response, recommendations 1 and 2 are closed. Recommendations 3 and 4 were previously closed. All recommendations associated with this audit are now closed and no further action is needed.

Recommendation 1:
Revise the NRC Drug-Free Workplace Plan to reflect the most up-to-date U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) requirements.
Agency Response Dated April 11, 2022:
The NRC Drug-Free Workplace Plan (DFWP) has been revised to include the most up-to-date HHS requirements and all internal agency approvals, as well as, HHS and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration have been completed.

The OIG reviewed the NRCs revised DFWP and verified that it reflects the most up-to-date HHS requirements and all internal agency approvals, as well as, HHS and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration have been completed.

Revisions to the NRC Drug-Free Workplace Manual have been revised and internal agency approvals obtained following receipt of HHS approval of the DFWP.
