SUBJECT:
IMPENDING PUBLICATION OF NUREG/CR-7258, TECHNICAL MANUAL AND USERS GUIDE FOR MILDOS VERSION 4.1 I am forwarding for your information the enclosed final version of NUREG/CR-7258, Technical Manual and Users Guide for MILDOS Version 4.1. This NUREG is the product of the MILDOS code development under User Need Request NMSS-15-001.
This report provides user guidance, model theory and equations performed by Argonne National Laboratorys (ANLs) technical staff on the MILDOS computer code Version 4.1. This report contains improved integrated algorithms and computational methods for the MILDOS Version 4.1 computer code that estimates radiation exposure from airborne particles from uranium milling, mining facilities, and in-situ recovery (ISR) operations with improved accuracy and computational speed.
This report was distributed to your staff for comment and review and includes the latest recommendations and input from your TA, Matthew Meyer, dated June 6, 2019 and finalized by my staff Casper Sun. All comments have been resolved.
RES has established an online quality survey to collect feedback the user offices on the usefulness of RES products and services. The survey can be found online at the hyperlink:
https://drupal.nrc.gov/res/quality-survey. I would appreciate the responsible manager or supervisor completing this short - about 5 minutessurvey within the next 10 working days to present your offices views of the delivered RES product.
Should you require any additional information, please contact Casper Sun of my staff at (301) 415-1646 or Casper.Sun@nrc.gov. A copy of this impending publication document can be found in the ADAMS, under accession number ML19192A128.
