Enclosed is a corrected copy of the NRC's RASCAL Version 2.2 dose projection software, software installation instructions, and a user's guide (Supplement 1 to NUREG/CR-5247).
These items are being supplied for your information. Their transmittal is not an implication that you should discontinue using your existing offsite dose projection software in favor of RASCAL Version 2.2.
Changes in Version 2.2 of RASCAL's " source term to dose" model include: a methodology to calculate health effects from uranium hexafluoride releases; a straight-line plume model for calculating doses and health effects from 25 to 800 meters from the release point; the capability to enter radionuclides amounts in units of mass; and modified building wake and cloud shine calculation methodologies. Raiatively minor changes were also made to RASCAL's
" field measurement to dose" model and to RASCAL's." decay calculator".
