Dear Mr. Scott:
On May 2,1980, I wrote to you concerning a mistake which you had made in identifying the author of a memorandum which you had requested.
You identified the author as M. I. Cotton; in actuality, the author was Ivan Catton.
However, it appears that in preparing NUREG/CR-1270, Vol.1, " Human Factors Evaluation of Control Room Design & Operator Performance at Three Mile Island-2" the Staff consultant (Essex Corporation) made the same error.
In the course of your review of that NUREG, you may have been mislead by the consultant's mistake.
If so, we apologize for any implication that TEXPIRG was at fault for the error in identifying the author of the requested memorandum.
