ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNIT NO. 1 - REVIEW OF REVISION TO REGULATORY COMMITMENTS (TAC NO. MF3703)
Dear Sir or Madam:
By letters dated January 30 and May 19, 2014 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Nos. ML14031A177 and ML14139A469, respectively), Entergy Operations, Inc. (the licensee), submitted information to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regarding revisions to the licensee's commitments previously reviewed and documented in NUREG-1743, "Safety Evaluation Report Related to the License Renewal of Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1 [AN0-1]," May 2001 (ADAMS Package Accession No. ML011640099).
The NRC staff reviewed the information in the licensee's letters to determine if the revisions to the commitments changed the staff's previous conclusion regarding AN0-1's Aging Management Program (AMP). The NRC staff concludes that the changes submitted, as stated in letters dated January 30, 2014, and May 19, 2014, will not adversely impact the effectiveness of the AMP to perform its intended function. The NRC staff has reviewed the revisions to and justifications for the following AN0-1 commitments regarding license renewal: 17828, 17830, 17836, 17847, 17848, 17853, 17856, 17861, 17865, 17868, 17871, 17873, 1787 4, and 19358.
