NOTICE OF MEETING WITH PEER REVIEW PANEL TO PRESENT "A TECHNIQUE FOR HUM /N EVENT ANALYSIS (ATHEANA)"

A meeting will be held on June 11th,1998, from 1(

.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on June 12th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel-Seattle Airport (telephone 206-246-8600),

18740 Pacific Highway So., Seattle, WA 98188.

The purpose of the meeting is to describe the ATHEANA human reliability assessment method to a select peer review panel. The meeting participants will be the peer reviewers, myself as representative of the NRC, and staff members from Sandia National Laboratories and their contractors. Presentations during this meeting will summarize Draft NUREG-1624 and give the peer reviewers an opportunity to receive clarification on this new human reliability assessment 1

method. The meeting will be open to the public, and we intend to allow time at the end of each day for questions and comments from interested members of the public.

i The peer reviewers have been provided with pre-publication copies of Draft NUREG-1624, "A Technique for Human Event Analysis (ATHEANA)." Published copies of the report are expected to be available to interested parties in early June.
