The rule becomes fully effective on July 27.1990.
A review of your license file indicates that you are a state or federal agency which will be affected by-the rule. Therefore, a response is required on or l
before July 27, 1990.
It-should be noted that 10 CFR 30.35(f)(4), 40.36(e)(4), and 70.25(f)(4) allow I
federal state or' local government licensees to submit a statement of intent containIngaco,stestimatefordecommissioningoranamountasspecifiedin the regulations and indicating that funds for decommissioning will be obtained when necessary.- You may find that this option is the most expedient one for your situation.
Therefore, a description of a Statement of Intent, excerpted 1
from page 3-27 of NUREG-1336, Rev. 1, is enclosed as Appendix A.
Also a copy of Ex11 bit 3-9 (froia the same NUREG) is enclosed as Appendix B.
