The Connission has completed its review of the research budget for FY 1981 as well as the supplementary request for additional funds in FY 1930.
Being in receipt of your report " Comments on the NRC Safety Research Program Budget,"
NUREG-0603 as early as July 19 was of great help to us.
I realize that, when we asked you to perform this task, we had in mind that the amount of work involved would probably lead to your giving a rather short overview of the budget.
What you have done is very much more than that and represents an in-depth, considered viewpoint and a breadth of coverage that attests to the quality of the effort you devoted to the report.
