UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NOS. 50-329 AND 50-330 CONSUMERS POWER COMPANY NOTICE OF AVAIL ABILITY OF DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT FOR MIDLAND PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the United States Nuclear' Regulatory Commission's regulations in 10 CFR Part 51, notice is hereby given that a Draft Environmental Statement (NUREG-0537) prepared by the Commission's Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation related to the proposed operation of the Midland Plant, Units 1 and 2, located in Midland County, Michigan, is available for inspection by the public in the Commission's Public Document Room,1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., and in the Grace Dow Memorial Library,1710 W. St. Andrews Road, Midland, Michigan. The Draft l
Statement is also being made available at the Office of Intergovernmental Relations, Department of Management and Budget, Lewis Cass Building, Lansing, Michigan 48909 and at the East Central M'chigan Plsnning and Development Region, 500 Federal Avenue, Post Office Box 930, Saginaw, Michigan 48606.
Requests for copies of the Draft Environmental Statement should be addressed to the U.S.

Notice of availability of the applicant's Environmental Report was published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on May 4,1978 (43 F.R.19304).

7590-01 Pursuant to 10 CFR Part 51, interested persons may submit coments on the applicant's Environnantal Report, as supplemented, and the Draft Environmental Statement for the Comission's consideration.
Federal and State agencies are being provided with copies of the applicant's Environmental Report and the Draft Environmental Statement (local agencies may obtain these documents upon request).
Comments are due by April 5, 1982 Coments by Federal, State and local officials, or other persons received by the Comission will be made available for public inspection at the Comission's Public Doctsnent Room in Washington, D.C., and the Grace Dow Memorial Library,1710 W. St. Andrews R ad, Midland, Michigan. Upon consideration of coments submitted with respect to the Draft Environmental Statement, the Commission's staff will prepare a Final Environmental Statement, the availability of which will be published in the FEDERAL REGISTER.
