This is in response to your December 5,1978 letter to Chainnan Hendrie concerning our management report " Status Summary Report, Nuclear Power Plants." The report is intended to provide NRC management with informa-tion for controlling the progress of our nuclear power plant reviews.
Our office publishes numerous reports, such as the status surmary report, explicitly for NRC management. Since this report is for our management, we scrutinize the data to see that it meets our needs and change it if necessary.
In fact, presently this document is undergoing another major change to reflect our management's needs.
The information you have requested is available in the public document,
" Program Summary Report" NUREG-0380. Three charts in this document should provide you witn the information you have requested:
" Operating Licenses Issued" in Section 2, " Construction Permits Issued" in Section 3, and
" Construction Permit Review Duration Summary" in Section 5.
