Dear Mr. Owen:
Enclosed is a copy of the Staff's Draft Environmental State-ment related to operation of the La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor, dated June 1976 (NUREG-0087).
This is the document which the Licensing Board admitted into evidence as Board Exhibit #1.
At the hearing last Saturday, we promised to send you this Exhibit.
Enclosed also are copies of the transcripts for October 3-5, 1979.
These are extra copies which the Board received.
Furnish-ing of these transcripts is not to be considered as establishing a precedent of any sort.
Licensing Boards are not authorized at this time to provide financial assistance to intervenors, and the furnishing of transcripts is one such type of assistance.
How-ever, these particular copies would otherwise have been thrown away, and it seemed cesirable to the Board for some productive use to be made of theu.
(We did not receive any extra copies of the transcript for Saturday, October 6, so no such transcript is enclosed.)
