's NRC REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 4
E=:
1 Question 620.94 A description of how the integrated role of the operator across all systems is confirmed for acceptability (as discussed in Part 2 - Section 2 of this document). If function allocation was performed by individual system designers, with the IAEA process described in the RAI responses by used at all, and if so how? Will the URD processes be used?
The pmcess should be described by which functions are re-allocated in an iterative manner, in response to developing
- design specUics, operating experience, and the outcomes of on-going analyses and trade studies.
Response
The methodology ' sed for function allocation in the AP600 design process has been provided in a draft u
WCAP-14644, AP600 Functional Requirements Analysis and Function Allocation, submitted by NSD-NRC-96-4722 on 5/14/96.
