POINT BEACH NRC 2017-0015 10 CFR 50.54(q) 10 CFR 72.44(f)
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(5) and 10 CFR 72.44(f), NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC (NextEra) hereby submits a description of changes to the Point Beach Nuclear Plant (PBNP)
Emergency Plan and a summary of the analysis demonstrating that the changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the plan. The plan continues to meet the requirements in 10 CFR 50 Appendix E and the planning standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b). The changes were incorporated in the following procedures:
EP 6.0, Emergency Measures, Revision 62, issued March 6, 2017 EP Appendix B, Emergency Classification, Revision 30, issued March 8, 2017 Description of Changes and Summary of Analysis EP 6.0 was revised due to aligning verbiage with the NRC Safety Evaluation for LAR 277, Revision to Staff Augmentation Times in the Point Beach Nuclear Plant Emergency Plan.
EP Appendix B was revised due to interdependent updates to the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual and Calculation 2013-0018 (EC 288117) resulting in a revision to the emergency action levels and also includes editorial changes.
These changes were evaluated in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(3) and it was determined that these changes did not reduce the effectiveness of the PBNP Emergency Plan.
