Nuclear Management Company, LLC (NMC), is submitting a summary of the spring 2005 Unit 2 (U2R27) steam generator inspections.
During U2R27, PBNP conducted no primary side steam generatorwork. The last primary side inspections were completed during U2R26 (October 2003). The steam generators have a C-1 rating. The C-I rating allows an interval of 40 months between steam generator inspections. The next primary side inspections will be during the fall 2006 refueling outage (U2R28).
During U2R27, secondary side visual inspections were performed in both steam generators at the top of the tubesheet of the peripheral tubes and in the no-tube lane (i.e., center lane where the blowdown line runs). These inspections were performed to search for potential loose parts. No loose parts were found, nor did the loose parts monitoring system detect any loose parts during the previous cycle. These inspections were precautionary to ensure good performance during the upcoming cycle.
This letter contains no new commitments and no revisions to existing commitments.
