1 Ii On January 19, 2004, one contractor employee tested positive for alcohol on a pre-access drug/alcohol test. The contractor employee was denied access. The contractor employee was provided the opportunity to appeal the denial through the We-Energies appeal process. There was no appeal.
On March 17, 2004, one contractor employee refused to provide a urine specimen. The contractor employee was denied access. The contractor employee was provided the opportunity to appeal the denial through the We-Energies appeal process.
The contractor employee appealed the denial. The denial was reviewed and was upheld.
On March 22, 2004, one contractor employee tested positive for amphetamines on a pre-access drug/alcohol test. The contractor employee was denied access. The contractor employee was provided the opportunity to appeal the denial through the We-Energies appeal process. There was no appeal.
On March 30, 2004, one licensee employee tested positive for alcohol on a for-cause drug/alcohol test. The licensee employee was denied access. The licensee employee was granted unescorted access after satisfactory management and medical assurance was obtained regarding the individual's fitness for duty.
On May 13, 2004, one licensee employee tested positive for alcohol on a for-cause drug/alcohol test. The licensee employee was denied access. The licensee employee was granted unescorted access after satisfactory management and medical assurance was obtained regarding the individual's fitness for duty.

Reportable Events There were two (2) reportable events as defined in 10 CFR Part 26.73(a) at Point Beach Nuclear Plant during this reporting period. On March 31, 2004, at 18:02 (ET) a 24-hour reportable FFD event report (EN 40630) was made. On May 13, 2004, at 16:47 (ET) a 24-hour reportable FFD event report (EN 40743) was made.
