SUMMARY

Unit I average daily power for the month of October was 508.5 MWe.

There was a supplement LER on Unit I in the month of October: LER 2003-003-01, Possible Common Mode Failure of AFW Due to Partial Clogging of Recirculation Orifices.

On October 29, 2003 at 0311 Point Beach Unit I commenced a load reduction at the request of Power System Supervisor (PSS) due to Solar Magnetic Disturbances on IXOI transformers. Load reduction was held at 450 MWe (83%). October 30,2003 at 0345 Point Beach was notified by PSS that Unit I can return to full load.
