Subject:
The purpose of this letter F ^ submit the Fermi 2 Physical Security Plan (Revision 27) in accordance with 10CFR'-
p) (2).
A summary of the changes made in PSP Revision 27 is provided. Additionally, changes to the text are highlighted (shaded). Deleted text is not identified with markings. Only Chapters 2,3,4,7, Figures 2-2,2-9, Table 3-1, the Table of Contents, and the List of Tables / Figures are being submitted. The changes made under this revision do not decrease the effectiveness of the Fermi 2 Physical Security Plan.
Changes related to the Vehicle Barrier System went into effect on February 29,1996.
Changes for search of armed on-duty security officers in Chapter 3, section 3.3.1, were validated in NRC Generic Letter 96-02, section (II), which was received after site approval of PSP revision 27. Revisions to implementing procedures are in progress to implement the new search requirements. The changes regarding alarm assessment and response in Chapter 4, section 4.2 and 4.7 will not be implemented w
until correspondence is received from Region III stating that the changes made in revision 27 of the PSP are acceptable. The remaining changes were implemented hj M
upon approval of the PSP on Febmary 6,1996.
