Subject:

Licensed Operator Requalification Program In response to Reference 2. Item 3. Detroit Edison conducted a review of all licensed operators performing licensed duties to determine whether or not they are " current" with respect to the Fermi 2 Requalification Program. The following criteria were evaluated in making this determination:

a) Successful completion or remediation of the 1986 annual written examination. (Unit 7) b) All cycle (Units 1 thru 6) quizzes within the present requalification period (1986-1987) completed by December 31, 1987.

c) Successful completion of the 1986 annual reactivity manipulations. (Units 8 thru 18).

I d) The biennial reactivity manipulations (Units 19 thru 39) within the present requalification period (1986-1987) completed by December 31. 1987.

e) Successful completion of the 1986 annual simulator performance demonstration and walkdown examination.
