Docket ID NRC-2025-0031 Volume 90, No 33 page 9980 of the Federal Register notices a proposed amendment for the Monticello Nuclear generating Plant, Unit 1. This timely comment is in response to the Federal Register notice.
In the February 7, 2025 submission "License Amendment Request to Revise the Emergency Action Level Scheme" the licensee states in Section 4.3 "Based on the considerations discussed above,...(3) the issuance of the amendment will not be inimical to the common defense and security or to the health and safety of the public."
The licensee does not provide a basis to support that "issuance of the amendment will not be inimical to the common defense".
