Amphibians are the most threatened class of vertebrates.

The Clinch River Nuclear Site project could affect amphibians, such as the Eastern Hellbender (a proposed endangered species). Eastern Tennessee has a high diversity of amphibian species. We recommend conducting amphibian population monitoring surveys and delineating protected areas for amphibians.

There are opportunities for energy efficiency technologies at the Clinch River Nuclear Site. Consider installing solar panels over parking lots and on structures, electric vehicle charging stations in parking lots, and battery storage units on vacant land.

Thank you for this opportunity to comment.
