2) NEI letter to NRC, Comments on Draft NUREG-1021, Revision 12, Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reactors [85 FR 77280; Docket ID NRC-2020-0227], dated February 12, 2021 In Reference 1, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requested comments on the draft NUREG-1021, Revision 12, Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reactors, Docket ID NRC-2020-0227.

In Reference 2, the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) provided comments on behalf of its members regarding the proposed NUREG-1021 draft revision.

Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) affirms that it is aligned with many of the proposed changes in this draft revision that will improve clarity and consistency. However, TVA shares NEI concerns with the effect of certain aspects associated with proposed critical task development and grading criteria associated with the simulator operating examination. TVA endorses the NEI comments and recommendations to improve the draft NUREG.
