Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station (VCSNS) Unit 1 revised its station procedures concerning earthquake
~esponse and incorporated guidance provided in Regulatory Guide (RG) 1.167 Revision 0 and EPRI NP-6695, "Guidance for Nuclear Power Plan Response to an Earthquake," in addressing INPO IER L2 12-12, "Greater than D~sign Basis Earthquake Results in a Loss of Off Site Power and Reactor SCRAM" and INPO IER L4 13-3, "Recovering froma Beyond-Design-Basis Natural Event - Lessons Learned." VCSNS J]nit 1 requests that the NRC does not approve any imposition or backfitting of the guidance provided in RG 1.167 Revision 1 for existing licensees who have incorporated previous guidance into their earthquake response.
