4. Letter from NRC to Nuclear Energy Institute dated November 14, 2006 On February 9, 2006, the NRC issued a Request for Additional Information (RAI )

associated with NMC response to GL 2004 - 02 (Reference 1). In accordance with the March 28, 2006 , letter from the NRC to PWR Licensees ( Reference 2 ), NMC deferred submittal of the final design information . In accordance with the October 3, 2006 , letter from NMC to the NRC ( Reference 3 ), NMC committed to submit by the end of 2006 for Unit 2 and by the end of 2007 for Unit 1.

In accordance with subsequent NRC guidance provided in Reference 4 and as discussed with Mr. F . Lyon of the NRC staff on December 6, 2006 , the response committed to in Reference 3 will be submitted by the end of 2007 for Units 1 and 2.

Summary of Commitments This letter revises the commitment date for submitting supplemental information in response to NRC GL 2004 - 0? per the guidance contained in Reference 4.
