Detroit Edison's 120-day Response to March 12, 2012 Information Request Regarding Seismic Walkdowns On March 12, 2012, the NRC issued Reference 2 to all power reactor licensees and holders of construction permits in active or deferred status. Enclosure 3 of Reference 2 contains specific Requested Actions, Requested Information and Required Responses associated with Recommendation 2.3, Seismic. of Reference 2 states that each addressee, within 120 days of the date of the information request, will confirm that they intend to use the NRC-endorsed seismic walkdown procedures or provide to the NRC a description of the process that will be used to conduct the walkdowns and to develop the needed information.

USNRC NRC-12-0046 Page 2 Detroit Edison confirms that it intends to use the seismic walkdown procedure in Reference 3 to conduct the walkdowns and develop the needed information at Fermi 2.

Reference 3 is the final version of the draft document endorsed by the NRC in Reference 4.

This letter contains no new regulatory commitments.
