ATTN: Document Control Desk Director, Division of Spent Fuel Management Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington, DC 20555-0001 South Texas Project Units 1 and 2 Docket No. STN 50-498; STN 50-499; 72-1041 General License Notification - Intent to Store Spent Fuel at the ISFSI In accordance with 10 CFR 72.212(b)(1), STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) is notifying the NRC of the intent to store spent fuel at the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI). STPNOC currently plans to begin storing spent fuel in HI-STORM FW Dry Cask Storage System on or approximately January 14, 2019. This notification is required at least 90-days prior to the first storage of spent fuel in dry casks under the STPNOC ISFSI general license. The following information is being provided in accordance with 10 CFR 72.212(b)(1).
