Pursuant to 10 CFR 50 Appendix H,Section IV, STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) submits the enclosed WCAP-17482-NP, "Analysis of Capsule W from the South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company, South Texas Unit 1 Reactor Vessel Radiation Surveillance Program," dated May 2012. WCAP-17482-NP presents the results of the examination of Capsule W, which was removed from the South Texas Project Unit 1 reactor during refueling outage 1RE16. Although identified as being non-proprietary, there is no proprietary version of the WCAP.
This report was originally due in April 2012 in accordance with Section lilA of 10 CFR 50, Appendix H. As identified in the referenced correspondence, completion of testing and the associated report preparation were delayed due to failure of the tensile testing equipment.
