Notice of Intent to Submit License Renewal Application Cooper Nuclear Station, NRC Docket 50-298, DPR-46
Reference:
Letter from D. Wilson (Nebraska Public Power District) to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission dated January 24, 2002, "Application for Renewal of Operating License" (NLS2002016).
The purpose of this letter is to provide the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) notice of the intent of the Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) to submit an application for license renewal for Cooper Nuclear Station.
In the referenced letter, NPPD informed the NRC of its previous decision to delay its application for license renewal beyond 2003, and that a revised date would be provided to the NRC once plans and a schedule were developed. NPPD intends to submit the license renewal application in September 2008. NPPD will inform the NRC of any adjustments to this anticipated submittal time frame as the project progresses.
