SUMMARY

OF FITNESS FOR DUTY PROGRAM ACTIVITIES FOR JULY THROUGH DECEMBER 2003 POSITIVE RESULTS:

One alcohol test produced a positive result during this reporting period.

PRE-ACCESS:

There were no positive results during this reporting period.

RANDOM:

There were no positive results during this reporting period.

FOLLOW-UP:

There were no positive results during this reporting period.

FOR-CAUSE/POST ACCIDENT:

Two for-cause/post accident tests were performed during this reporting period with no positive results.

  • Two personnel were tested following vehicle accidents on company property.

FOR-CAUSE BEHAVIOR:

Eleven for-cause observed behavior tests were performed during this reporting period resulting in one positive test for alcohol.

  • One contract supervisor was tested when the Security Services Supervisor detected the odor of alcohol on the individual. The individual tested positive for alcohol. Refer to Event Notification 40111 for details.
  • One employee was tested following reports that the individual was driving erratically coming to work. The test was negative.
  • Six personnel were tested following human performance failures while performing work. The tests were negative.

  • One licensee employee was tested after being found to be inattentive on night shift. The test was negative.
  • Two licensee employees were involved in a minor altercation and were tested.

The tests were negative.

RANDOM TESTING RATE:

The random testing rate for this period was 23.4%.

The annual random testing rate for 2003 was 55.5%.
