SUMMARY
OF FITNESS FOR DUTY PROGRAM ACTIVITIES FOR JULY THROUGH DECEMBER 2002 POSITIVE RESULTS:
One drug and alcohol screen yielded a positive result for opiates.
PRE-ACCESS:
One pre-access drug and alcohol screen yielded a positive result for opiates. The Medical Review Officer (MRO) reported an individual positive for misuse of prescription medication. The MRO verified the individual had taken a family member's cough medication containing codeine. The MRO reported the individual positive as the individual did not have a valid prescription. Prior to granting unescorted access, the individual was required to participate in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), enter the CNS follow-up testing program, comply with all requirements from the EAP, and agree to the requirements of a re-entry agreement.
RANDOM:
There were no positive results to report during this period.
FOR-CAUSE/BEHAVIOR:
Ten for-cause tests were performed during this period with no positive results.
Four separate for-cause tests were performed at the request of supervisors who believed they had detected the odor of alcohol on employees. The tests were negative.

Two employees were tested at the request of their supervisor following errors while performing their job. The tests were negative.
One employee was tested at a supervisor's request due to ongoing Continual Behavioral Observation and declining employee performance. The test was negative.
