SUMMARY
OF FITNESS FOR DUTY PROGRAM ACTIVITIES FOR JANUARY THROUGH JUNE 2002 POSITIVE RESULTS:
One positive result was attributed to alcohol.
PRE-ACCESS:
There were no positive results to report during this period.
RANDOM:
There were no positive results to report during this period.
FOR-CAUSE/BEHAVIOR:
Six for-cause tests were performed during this period resulting in one confirmed positive test of a licensee employee for alcohol.
- A co-worker reported to their supervisor that an employee smelled of alcohol. The supervisor followed Cooper Nuclear Station Procedure 0-FFD-01 and requested a for cause test of the employee, which resulted in a confirmed positive for alcohol. The employee declined to participate in the Employee Assistance Program and was permanently denied access.
FOR-CAUSE/POST ACCIDENT:
One for-cause post accident test was performed following a vehicle accident in the licensee owner controlled area. The results were negative.
RANDOM TESTING RATE:
The random testing rate for this period was 51%.
