Dear Sir or Madam:

Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. ("Entergy") applied for renewal of the operating licenses for Indian Point Nuclear Generating Units Nos. 2 and 3 in April 2007 (References 1, 2 and 3). The Unit 3 operating license expires at midnight on December 12, 2015. The license renewal application ("Application") for both Units 2 and 3 is currently under review by the NRC staff.

As the review and approval of the Application by the NRC will not be completed prior to the expiration of the Unit 3 Operating License, Entergy will take the following two actions to ensure full implementation of its license renewal commitments, as documented in the Application, prior to entering the Unit 3 period of extended operation ("PEO").

Action 1 By September 25, 2015, Entergy will submit a letter to the NRC confirming implementation of the Unit 3 license renewal commitments required to be implemented prior to entry into the PEO (i.e., December 12, 2015). Entergy will reference the most recent list of regulatory commitments which was provided in Entergy's reply to RAI 3.0.3-

Docket No. 50-286 NL-15-060 Page 2 of 2 2 from Set 2014-01 for the Review of the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 &

Action 2 By September 25, 2015, Entergy will submit a letter to the NRC confirming that the Unit 3 Updated Final Safety Analysis Report ("UFSAR") has been updated to implement the Unit 3 aging management programs into the licensing basis.

The attachment to this letter summarizes the commitments made in this response. If you have any questions concerning this submittal, or require additional information, please contact Mr.
