Southern Nuclear Operating Company (Southern Nuclear) last submitted a five-year resubmission of its Certificate Pertaining to Foreign Interests on June 1, 2012. The submission is made for a determination that the degree and extent of Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence (FOCI) over Southern Nuclear does not pose an undue risk to the national security. The Owners, Officers, Directors, and Executive Personnel (OODEP) Attachment was revised and re-submitted by letter dated July 29, 2013.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 95.17(a)(1), Southern Nuclear is notifying you of an update to Southern Nuclear's FOCI certificate. Specifically, Southern Nuclear is updating the OODEP Attachment to reflect that Mr. Steven M. Shipman has replaced Mr.
Keith D. Wooten as the Facility Security Officer, effective November 11, 2013.
Additionally, Mr. David R. Vineyard has been elected an officer at Southern Nuclear, effective November 23, 2013. Finally, Ms. Paula M. Marino and Mr. A.
Bryan Fletcher are no longer officers at Southern Nuclear, and as such, are to be removed from the OODEP list.
