1. Entergy letter NL-12-021; 2011 Annual 10 CFR 50.46 Emergency Core Cooling System Evaluation Changes Report, dated May 11, 2012.
2. Entergy letter NL-12-083; 30-Day 10 CFR 50.46 Report of Change in Emergency Core Cooling System Model, dated June 14, 2012.

Dear Sir or Madam:

This letter provides the annual 10 CFR 50.46 report for calendar year 2012 for Indian Point Units 2 (IP2) and 3 (IP3). The prior report, for calendar year 2011, was provided in Reference 1.

There are no new peak cladding temperature (PCT) adjustments required for the IP2 or the IP3 small break loss-of-coolant accident (LOCA) analyses of record (AOR) for calendar year 2012.

For the IP2 large break LOCA AOR, Entergy is reporting a PCT adjustment of 146 OF, which was provided in Reference 2. For the IP3 large break LOCA AOR, Entergy is reporting two PCT adjustments. The first adjustment (+66 OF) was provided in Reference 2. The second adjustment (-2 OF) accounts for the removal of "the containment sump strainer modification" which was erroneously retained in Reference 1. The containment sump strainer modification is already accounted for in the changing of the initial containment/accumulator temperature to 80 IF. Although not required by regulation, this letter reports the small break LOCA PCT for IP2 as 1028 'F and IP3 as 1543 OF, and the large break LOCA PCT for IP2 as 2113 OF and IP3 as 2056 OF.

Kg

NL-13-029 Docket Nos. 50-247 & 50-286 Page 2 of 2 The limiting PCT results for the IP2 and IP3 small and large break LOCAs continue to meet the criteria of 10 CFR 50.46, paragraph (b) for calendar year 2012.

There are no new commitments contained in this letter. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact me at 914-254-6710.

Sincerely, RW/mb/jc cc:
