Entergy Letter NL-12-075 Regarding Entergy's 90-Day Response to the March 12, 2012, Information Request, Action Plan for Completing Emergency Communication and Staffing Assessments, dated June 8, 2012
Dear Sir or Madam:
On March 12, 2012, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission ("NRC" or "Commission") issued a request for information to Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy). Entergy provided a 90 day response, Reference 2, which committed to advise the NRC of the ability to reach agreements with State and local governments to provide logistical support for the transport of emergency responders to the site in the event of a large scale natural disaster that inhibits site access. This letter is to complete that commitment.
The ability to obtain logistical support for transporting emergency responders was discussed and the State and Local governments verbally agreed that support would be provided as available and based on the competing priorities at the time. Agreements are not feasible since the scope of the large scale disaster and remaining equipment available are unknown.
