Indian Point Energy Center Registration of Unit 2 Spent Fuel Cask Use Indian Point, Unit 2 Docket Nos. 50-247 & 72-51 License No. DPR-26 Dear Sir or Madam; Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy) operates the Indian Point Energy Center (IPEC)

Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) in accordance with the general license provisions of 10 CFR 72.210. The conditions of 10 CFR 72.212(b)(1)(ii) include the registration of a spent fuel cask within 30 days of using a cask for storage of spent nuclear fuel.

Accordingly, this letter hereby registers the use, on July 06, 2011, of the Eleventh (11) IPEC Unit 2 dry fuel storage cask and on July 28, 2011, of the Twelfth (12) IPEC Unit 2 dry fuel storage cask. The casks were loaded to Amendment #2 of the Holtec CoC #1014 and the corresponding Holtec CFSAR Revision 4. These casks are the Sixteenth (16) and Seventeenth (17) IPEC dry fuel storage casks to be added to the IPEC ISFSI pad.

This letter also provides the following registration information associated with the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Holtec HI-STORM 100 spent fuel cask system that was placed into storage on the IPEC ISFSI pad [Docket No. 72-51]. The fuel contained in this cask is from IPEC Unit 2 Nuclear Power Plant, Reactor License No. DPR-26, Docket No. 50-247.
