In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p), Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) hereby submits Revision 8 of the SNC Security Plan for the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, and the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, effective October 1, 2009. SNC has reviewed the changes incorporated into Revision 8 in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2) and determined that this revision does not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the SNC Security Plan.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.4(b)(4), the appropriate copies are being provided to the Document Control Desk and the Region II office. Enclosure 1 provides a summary of the changes incorporated into the SNC Security Plan, Revision 8, and page removal/insertion instructions. Enclosure 2 provides the changed pages associated with Revision 8 of the SNC Security Plan.
