By letter dated September 2, 2004, letter from Mr. Michael Tschiltz, Chief of the Probabilistic Safety Assessment Branch, the NRC requested that certain Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) information be provided for use in updating the Significance Determination Process (SDP) risk-informed inspection notebooks for Southern Nuclear Operating Company's (SNC) three plants. By letter dated February 24, 2005 (NL 05-0269),
SNC noted that the requested information would be provided as it became available upon the completion of the respective revised plant PRA models. The PRA model revision has recently been completed for the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant (HNP).
Enclosed is a compact disc containing the requested information for HNP. As stated in the September 2, 2004 request for information, the NRC has made a preliminary determination, in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 2.390, that the information requested and the SDP notebooks may relate to a plant's physical protection. In accordance with this determination, this information has been marked as "proprietary information" and should be withheld from public disclosure.
