In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2), Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) hereby submits the February 2003 revision to the Nuclear Security Training and Qualification Plan (TQP) for the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant. SNC believes the changes associated with the enclosed revision are administrative in nature or constitute enhancements to the TQP. SNC has determined these changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the TQP and continue to satisfy the requirements of 10 CFR 73.55 and 10 CFR 73 Appendix B.
Each revision to the TQP is indicated by a vertical bar placed in the right margin. The revisions are administrative in nature or constitute enhancements to the readability and specificity of the document. Terminology was clarified and definitions were standardized to be in agreement with the Physical Security Plan. Various task's descriptions and notes were revised or deleted in support of weaponry changes, clarification of local law enforcement responsibilities and SNC standardization efforts.
The enclosure to this letter contains the revised Nuclear Security Training and Qualification Plan document.
